New Client: Paulette Lambert and the California Health and Longevity Institute

28 Mar

You might know Paulette Lambert from Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition or heard of the California Health & Longevity Institute from sources like ABC, NBC, MSNBC, the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times. The California Health & Longevity Institute has a comprehensive approach to health and well-being in the areas of medicine, nutrition, fitness and life balance.  “Only 20% of weight loss comes from fitness,” she says. “The rest is how you eat.”

I am so pleased to welcome her and CHLI on board as a client.

I’d like to welcome Mary Akers, author of IPPY award-winning Women Up On Blocks and co-author of Radical Gratitude and other life lessons learned in Siberia, to the P.S. Literary Agency as my newest client. Editor-in-chief of the online journal r.kv.r.y., thrice awarded a Bread Loaf work-study scholarship, published in seven countries and translated into four languages, she is an extraordinary talent that is ready to break out with her upcoming women’s commercial literary fiction.

Her fiction, poetry and non-fiction have appeared in a number of international journals and she frequently writes fiction that focuses on the intersections between art and science, including such topics as diverse and timely as the environmental movement and the struggle for human and animal rights. She is a co-founder of the Institute for Tropical Marine Ecology, a study abroad marine ecology program originally located in Roseau, Dominica. In her spare time she enjoys snorkeling, hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, canoeing and snowshoeing. Among other jobs, she has worked as an historical interpreter/bookbinder in Colonial Williamsburg and as a production potter at Historic Jamestown Island. Although raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia–which she will always call home–she currently lives in Western New York. (more…)
